“A few times on a cool start in the morning it doesn't fully turn over. I wait a few seconds and turn key again then it turns over. A few time while backing up out of my work spot, the car 'jumps' like it is going to kill. As soon as I hit brake it revs back up and then I can go. Today I left work, then at a stop sign my car killed. I really didn't think much, until it killed. I will be calling service department tomorrow.”
NHTSA complaint #11221059, filed 2019-06, 19,300 miles“Own 2017 Rogue. After receiving an recall software update 5 hours later my car experienced this. Had right foot on brake and was pulling into a parking spot within a parking garage. Car was moving but at idle speed cause I was 1/4 of way into parking spot when suddenly I heard the engine rev and car took off stopping only by the cement wall in front of me. Had it been a railing on this outside wall I would have gone over 7 floors down. No mats in car and I was wearing flats so Nissan can't say that caused this”
NHTSA complaint #11265375, filed 2019-10, 45,000 miles“When driving at a moderate speed then slowing down in traffic that is slow and stop and go, once I come to a complete stop and get ready to go again the car hesitates to take off. The engine sounds like a truck and does not go above 25mph with the gas pedal to the floor. The lights that appear on the dash is the safety crash and warning lights. I then have to pull over to the side turn the car off and turn it back on again for it to go back to normal. This happens 1-2 times a week. I afraid this going to cause a terrible accident. I have reported it to sheridan Nissan three times. …”
NHTSA complaint #11316278, filed 2020-03, 4,500 miles“The first time the vehicle malfunctioned, I was driving in a grocery store parking lot with a personal friend and suddenly the car's emergency brake protection activated jolting the car to a stop. The second occurrence was in a parking deck (different from the first location) and the car again activated the emergency brake protection system jolting the car to a stop. I then felt this was a safety issue and brought this into the Nissan dealership. They checked the car and called reporting they could not find anything wrong with the car and I should pick it up. …”
NHTSA complaint #11056061, filed 2017-12, 2,500 miles“When driving between speeds of 30-45 MPH the vehicle would shake, and the rpms were shifting erratically between 2000-4000 or more. The issue would correct when more speed was attained, but would return. When the accelerator was depressed, the vehicle would not respond immediately, however the rpms would increase drastically. When on the highway, using cruise control at 65 MPH, the rpms would change drastically again. …”
