“My car will often stall after pressing the brake. I will lose control over my speed, meaning it will accelerate no matter how hard I press on the gas. It happens mostly when on I'm on the highway going over 60 MPH and need to break. When the A/C is on it shakes as if it's going to shut off. It has happened too many times while with my children in the car.”
NHTSA complaint #11343157, filed 2020-08, 106,000 miles“Takata recall- was on the highway traveling 70 MPH with two other adults in the car when the engine light came on and my transmission went out. I had no power and coasted off the exit and into a parking lot (thank goodness). Had to have the cr towed 96 miles to my hometown for review. Its only 3 years old, 74,000 miles and the transmission is gone. Over $5500 quote to replace. Nissan was notified but will not stand behind their product.”
NHTSA complaint #11022349, filed 2017-09, 74,000 miles“I was driving on the interstate coming from indianapolis, indiana going 75 miles per hour. After three hours of driving, my car suddenly began decreasing it's speed and would not accelerate. The check engine light came on andi had to pull over to the side and turn off my car. I called for a tow truck using my insurance company., but after turning off the car for fifteen minutes, it was driveable again. The check engine light stayed on the entire ride home, and for about two weeks.”
NHTSA complaint #11193253, filed 2019-04, 90,000 miles“I can be driving when all of a sudden it slows down immediately and the speed drops so low it wants almost stops. Which is very dangerous if I'm in a lot of traffic.”
NHTSA complaint #11329068, filed 2020-06, 96,000 miles“When driving my Rogue for any period of time over 40 minutes on the expressway the vehicles starts to decelerate even when the gas pedal to pushed all the way down to the floor. This seems to be worse in the summer months when it is warmer outside. The car needs to be shut off for a period of time before it will begin to accelerate and maintain the speed on the expressway. I have even turned on the cruise control and the vehicle will even decelerate when the speed is set on cruise control. …”
