NHTSA complaint #11286911, filed 2019-12, 22,000 miles

“I was driving on a city street during a clear day at approximately 9am. The vehical was going 40mph when the front collision sensor activated the emergency braking system. There were no cars or obstacles around the vehicle. I was traveling in a straight line. The car suddenly stopped. After stopping, the vehicle returned to normal operation and the collision warning cleared. I have scheduled service to address my concerns with the front radar system.”

NHTSA complaint #11185883, filed 2019-03, 10,300 miles

“Our 2018 Nissan Rogue aeb system is false braking when it shouldn't. The aeb false braking has almost caused multiple accidents if we didn't over power the brake system or turn it off quickly. Also the aeb system turns itself off while the car is on cruise control at freeway speeds in rain, bright sunlight, or bumpy road conditions. This also has almost caused our car to be rear ended by its abrupt slowing down. This problem has occurred multiple times over the one year we have owned this car.”

NHTSA complaint #11330224, filed 2020-06, 59,000 miles

“When using my speed control a yellow like start flashing on an off. As well as my front safety shield begin flashing on an and off. Brake squeal when going down a small incline.”

NHTSA complaint #11310120, filed 2020-02, 6,250 miles

“The automatic braking system came on briefly about a week ago for no reason, while driving approximately 30 MPH on a quiet city street. The sensor light came on as well. Since then, it has happened 4 more times, but much worse. Each time I was in motion, at various speeds, but not exceeding 45 MPH. Yesterday I was going up a slight incline at approximately 30 MPH on a street by my house, and the aeb came on hard. There was nothing in front of me. Visibility was perfect. Only 2 blocks later, it happened again. …”
