“My vehicle started having issues with the transmission around 90,000 miles. While driving on the highway the acceleration started having problems. I took into a Nissan and they tested the vehicle and let me know the transmission failed. The model is a Nissan Rogue and is a 2017 model...”
NHTSA complaint #11361511, filed 2020-09, 90,000 miles“A few times on a cool start in the morning it doesn't fully turn over. I wait a few seconds and turn key again then it turns over. A few time while backing up out of my work spot, the car 'jumps' like it is going to kill. As soon as I hit brake it revs back up and then I can go. Today I left work, then at a stop sign my car killed. I really didn't think much, until it killed. I will be calling service department tomorrow.”
NHTSA complaint #11221059, filed 2019-06, 19,300 miles“I was driving my 2017 Nissan Rogue on a routine trip from my home to my office. I was turning through a residential intersection when my car shut off without warning mid-acceleration. I would estimate I was going no more than 5-7mph as I accelerated from the stop sign into 25 MPH. Because I was going up a slight incline, I was able to put it into neutral and coast backwards out of the intersection. I contacted aaa and waited for them to run their battery tests. …”
NHTSA complaint #11174797, filed 2019-02, 37,319 miles“When the vehicle is stationary, engine turned off a weird chirping/buzzing noise comes from the engine in intervals. The dealer is unable to duplicate, had the vehicle for 2 weeks. I have recorded it and sent to several mechanics, I see on youtube other owners have it as well, and Nissan can't figure out what it is. It happens frequently since the day I purchased the vehicle on 7-31-2017 brand new. I now have 10,000 miles, it still happens, last time yesterday.”
NHTSA complaint #11143335, filed 2018-10, 10,000 miles“Driving on interstate about 10 MPH. Car suddenly makes this loud noise and shuts off. It did restart and I didn't lose electrical as I was on blue tooth call but if happened when I was going faster this would have been a catastrophe! . This is the second time though. The first time I was in parking lot and I thought I did something as it was a new car. I was not touching anything but steering wheel and lightly touching brake as I was in traffic but there was quite some room between me and the car ahead.”
