“For about two years, I have experienced recurring engine malfunctions accompanied by the warning Engine Malfunction — Power Reduced. I have taken the vehicle to Nissan for this issue on at least four occasions, and the problem has continued.”

NHTSA complaint #11769804, filed 2026-10, 89,619 miles

“While on the highway, the vehicle felt sudden loss of power and a burning smell. Immediately took the next exit and entered a gas station where large volume of oil leaking under the vehicle. Exited the vehicle and called for a tow truck to bring the vehicle to the nearest auto shop who informed me that the engine was damaged internally similar to what’s described in the recall and informed me to have the vehicle towed to the nearest dealership for the recall repair. …”

NHTSA complaint #11734430, filed 2026-04, 96,892 miles

“Warning lights keep popping up then something will go wrong with the car. A CVT malfunction came up and wouldn’t allow me to put the car in park then after I turned the car off it went back to normal. More random lights will come up they will all be different problems with the engine or system then once car has been off for a few it would go back to normal”

NHTSA complaint #11752921, filed 2026-07

“After taking my 2023.5 Rogue S in for the recall repair (replace sensor and update ECM) I noticed soon after that a knock has started to appear. It is happening any time the engine is under load, especially at lower RPMs. I have changed where I get fuel and that has not resolved the issue, I got my oil change done about 2 weeks ago and the knock is still there”

NHTSA complaint #11744087, filed 2026-06

“I took my car to a Nissan Dealership to remedy recall 25V437. All they did was test drive it and reprogram the ECM. They never even looked at the engine oil per their own remedy instructions. This is not satisfactory and is out of process with the procedure described by the NHTSA. Catastrophic engine failure can occur due to this issue.”
