Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“I have a 2026 Nissan Rogue Platinum with Pro Pilot assist. When engaging the ProPilot cruise control with adaptive cruise control, if you are traveling on a road with stop lights and the car in front of you is stopped at a light and you car is traveling at 45 mph , if the vehicle at the light is more than a block away and you are approaching with no car icon on the dash, your car will not slow down until there is a emergency panic stop. I don't know if the car would stop in time. I applied brakes and came to a panic sideways stop inches from the car in front of me. …”

NHTSA complaint #11734081, filed 2026-04

“1 Unknown. I suspect a malfunction involving the electronic gear-selection/shift-control system or transmission control system. I personally placed the vehicle in Park while the engine was running. After I exited the vehicle and was away from it, the vehicle moved on its own. When I returned after hearing the impact, the gear selector was no longer in Park and was in another position. The vehicle and relevant electronic systems are available for inspection. 2 The vehicle was parked on a steep hill. I had personally placed the vehicle in Park and exited it with my daughter. …”

NHTSA complaint #11757012, filed 2026-08

“The vehicle reads the speed limit signs improperly and the adaptive cruise control will speed up the vehicle to the improper speed limit. For instance it is 45 mph on SR 70 in TN and the vehicle will read the speed limit as 70 mph and take off up to 70 mph on it's own. Very dangerous. Took it to 2 dealers and they are unable to fix the problem.”

NHTSA complaint #11732846, filed 2026-04

“The software for the ProSystem is flawed. When using the lane keeping part of the software, the vehicle, during a curve, will go to the left or right solid or dotted line, as appropriate, and exceed that limit by at least 2 feet, then sharply turn and go to the opposite solid or dotted line and exceed that limit by at least 2 feet. The vehicle will then oscillate between the two line for up to one minute with the oscillations decreasing all the while. …”
