“I just came off the highway where I almost got killed by a big, long white trailer truck because my vehicle failed to stop at a red light, the brake did not budge, it happened so fast, it feels like the brake was stuck, so I got out of the intersection and steered my way to safety only there was no where for me to safely stop because the ramp took me to i95 s which is very busy. I took the car home safely and parked it. My point is I have been complaining to the dealership about this same issue and nobody is listening. …”

NHTSA complaint #10956579, filed 2017-02, 6,771 miles

“2016 Nissan Rogue sl awd forward emergency breaking system gives warning when there is nothing in front of the vehicle. This happens sporadically, day or night, wet or dry atmosphere, and at multiple locations (straight stretchs of highway, 4 way intersections, stoplights, railroad crossings, bridges/overpasses). It has been taken to my local Nissan dealership where I purchased the vehicle multiple times as well as another local Nissan dealership expressing this issue. I have been told that my sensor was bad so it was replaced and the codes were erased from the system. …”

NHTSA complaint #11186934, filed 2019-03, 30,000 miles

“When I driving in the freeway my car began to slow down, even when is visible cars in front me and back were present. The car slowing down for it's own , which didn't not give rear drivers an opportunity to slow down in time I had to stop completely and needless braking can cause collisions, that was very scary for my and my family.”

NHTSA complaint #11525427, filed 2023-06

“While driving on the highway going 55mph out of no where. No warning sign or anything the forward collision warning and then the malfunction comes across the display. And the SUV just comes to a about 2 mph . Leaving me to pull over immediately to safety. This is not safety me or the drivers on the road. This has happened several times.”

NHTSA complaint #11423702, filed 2021-07

“The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, the RPM fluctuated however, the vehicle failed to respond. The Forward Collision Avoidance, ABS, and the check engine warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the accessory hood filter and transmission fluid was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.”
