“I was driving my truck on a main road and stopped at a stop sign and when I went to accelerate my truck was barely moving, unless I put the pedal to the ground. The truck went into limp mode and after looking into it, the codes p1757 and p1759 came up for the front break solenoid valve and after examining the TCM, I noticed the pin snapped for the front break solenoid, hence making the truck go into limp mode. …”
NHTSA complaint #11166678, filed 2019-01, 188,000 miles“The truck stalled out no power had to crash into shoulder of road and embankment. Glad we survived the bumpy crash, I just had suspension work done that saved us. We read the ipdm board or ECM relay is bad and causes this stalling to happen. Part number for ECM relay 284b7-cw29.”
NHTSA complaint #10725446, filed 2015-06, 84,601 miles“While moving forward from park, the rear tires locked up. I reversed and then moved forward to try to free the tires. The emergency brake was off. It took several times of shifting gears before the vehicle would move freely. I researched the internet and found several other Titan owners had the same problem. They traced the cause to the rear emergency brake pads dislodging from the hub and becoming lodged in the rear rotor. My mechanic removed the rear rotor on the right side and the emergency brake pads fell out. …”
NHTSA complaint #10535430, filed 2013-08, 74,200 miles“The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that while driving approximately 15 MPH, the vehicle did not accelerated above 15 MPH. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for a diagnostic. The contact's father had a diagnostic code reader and the codes were electronic throttle actuator and throttle control motor relay. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 155,000.”
