“The air condtioning door actuators commonly go out causing the system to not be able to perform the duty of defrosting the windshield. Effected actuators are both the temperature control and air flow control. The problem has effected all Nissan titans 2004-2015 however a recall has only been issued to 2009 year and newer titans.”

NHTSA complaint #11123835, filed 2018-08, 175,000 miles

“We purchased a truck from Nissan in october of 2004. It has been in the shop many times and in december of 2004, it was there over 30 days. The transmission and the rear end have both gone out, windows don't roll up and down correctly, rattling in the cab where the visor and garage door openers are held. The brake, vdc, tow, and ABS switch stay on all the time. The brakes are going out and the whole truck shimmies. Now in addition to the transmission being replaced once, it's slipping again. Nissan stated they would pay for the rental on the 30 days, but that was a lie. …”

NHTSA complaint #11269987, filed 2019-10, 128,000 miles

“In the 2005 Nissan Titan owner's manual page 2-45 instruments and controls reads auto-reverse function...if the control unit detects something caught in a window equipped with automatic operation as it is closing, the window will be immediately lowered. That is not happening, when we use the automatic close for the window, it will not immediately lower if an object gets in the way.”

NHTSA complaint #10150981, filed 2006-02

“The contact owns a 2005 Nissan Titan. The contact stated that when driving various speeds, the fuel gauge reading would fluctuate even though the fuel tank was empty. The failure recurred despite the actual fuel level. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for diagnosis. There was a voluntary recall issued by the manufacturer that was related to the same defect. The contact's VIN was not included and the vehicle was not repaired. In addition, the air conditioning unit and heater would not circulate air properly through the vents when activated. …”
