“My 1992 chrysler Voyager has bendix 10 ABS brakes and once the brake booster was out. Our local chrysler dealer made certain that the booster pump was burned out. While the pump was already replaced in 2000 they said the warranty covers only 1 pump per vehicle!! As I know recall 96v-99 (chrysler recall #685) refers to a lifetime warranty (for booster electrical pump). Short life, isn't it?”

NHTSA complaint #10207452, filed 2007-10, 290,785 miles

“Around 4/30/04 you sent us a vehicle owner's questionnaire. We filled out the forms and sent them back to you, but have not had a response back. The brake actuator piston & the pump-motor assembly have a lifetime coverage, but chrysler want us to pay for other parts not necessary to get more money from us. We believe if these two parts are replaced the brakes will work fine. Big a brakes agree with us, but we have not been able to get chrysler to fix the brake problem. We would like a response from you so we know where we stand on this situation.”

NHTSA complaint #10086204, filed 2004-08, 129,867 miles

“Dt: the contact stated there was NHTSA recall 96v099000 involving the anti lock brakes. The vehicle was repaired accordingly to the recall. He felt though the recall repairs have not corrected the problem because the vehicle continued to have anti lock brake problems. . There have been no further repairs due to the expense.”

NHTSA complaint #10142407, filed 2005-11, 75,500 miles

“When the brakes are depressed vehicle will not stop. Consumer claims that the brakes were fixed under a previous recall, but problem still persists. Dealer insists that the problem is the hydraulic control unit.”

NHTSA complaint #10084043, filed 2004-08, 125,000 miles

“I have had my ABS system replaced 3 times. This time the pedal does not come up properly to shut off the brake lights, and let cruise control to work properly. I feel that this has also caused my front rotors to warp. I contacted the dealer ship and was told that there is a return spring that needs to be added. Service bulletin 05-08-92 rer system of the car if the brake light is on. Is the transmission able to function properly or is this what caused my transmisson to go out.”
