“We took our Plymouth Voyager to our dealer with a complaint of a loud clunk in the front end. We were informed that our transmission was failing and that it would soon require replacement. We asked if the vehicle was safe to drive as we had to leave on a 400 mile business trip the next day. We were informed that the transmission could fail, but that it would not cause and accident. We then left for our destination. …”
NHTSA complaint #727675, filed 2000-08“While making a right turn there is a banging noise which sounds like something may fall out and cause a crash. Dealer replaced steering rack and pinion twice and struts. There was a crack k frame which the dealer had to weld back together, but the problem is still occurring. Dealer could not determine cause of the problem. Please provide further information.”
