NHTSA complaint #10083220, filed 2004-09, 80,000 miles

“When attempting to turn on the headlights, the headlights will flicker on for only a split second then go off. The driver must turn the headlight switch only to a certain point so that the lights will stay on. If the lights flicker, the driver has to turn the lights off, then try again. Twice, while driving at night, the headlights went out, requiring the driver to pull off the road (without lights), then fiddle with the headlight switch to get the headlights to come on again. It is extremely touchy to get them to come on and stay on. …”

NHTSA complaint #10145415, filed 2005-12, 130,000 miles

“There was a recall many years ago in germany on the starter, also have a letter from the chrysler shop the part get replaced on warranty that was many years ago, there never had the part to replace it. Now I am in the states ,in washington, and the recall part failed me. Second: my headlight have a film haze, there is no way to clean it take it apart or anything. We went to used auto part stores every last one has the same problem. I cant see at night, and can cost me an extent. That should be a recall. A new light would cost $ 270.00 plus tax per light. It is on both lights. …”
