“As I was exiting on to an off ramp the steering locked up and I lost control momentarily at the same time not being able to slow down. The car eventually spun out and slowed down on its own. Then I waited and started it back up and it went.”
NHTSA complaint #10551469, filed 2013-11, 74,397 miles“Service air bag message appears frequently and passenger airbag is disabled, even if a person is sitting in the passenger seat. I understand there is a recall for this in vehicles with aftermarket leather seats, but since my vehicle has factory leather seats, I believe the problem may extend to vehicles with factory leather seats as well. This has been happening for years, but I only recently realized that the passenger airbag is disabled when the message appears and am now concerned about the safety of anyone sitting in the passenger seat.”
NHTSA complaint #10661545, filed 2014-12, 60,000 miles“My problems started with this car before I even got home with my new purchase. I had 2 children in the car and the tire blew off the rim damaging the fender notes from the invoice state that parts and labor to be billed to 67d 67f, cannot warr tire that has been mounted wrong on 1st repair then on 6/26/06 paint was refinished due to clear coat peeling on the hood. On 11/06/06 radio does not play cd's and radio was replaced. 3k mile service with motor silk. Also airbag light was staying on and they said they found a wire to sdm loose and repaired wire. Also right rear tire was leaking air. …”
NHTSA complaint #10252985, filed 2008-12, 99 miles“Seat tracks holding seats on Pontiac G6's bolts & tracks rusted through & GM & dealer will not do anything about it. We think this should be recalled. This could cause a major problem if the bolt breaks off in an accident.”
NHTSA complaint #10286308, filed 2009-10, 25,000 miles“I have had to get 3 new keys made for this car due to the security light coming on, sometimes it will not crank or start, so I have replaced the starter twice, have replaced relays and fuses, and the security light will come on while drive down the road and all gauges drop to zero, even the gas light says empty and every light on the dash comes on. But the car will still drive. But once you turn it off it will not start for a few hours! It’s impossible to find parts for Pontiac anymore so everything has to be ordered! This should’ve been recalled a long time ago!”
