“I have power and heated leather seats for Pontiac G6 gt coupe. Probably, the seat connection metals have bad quality and are broken. When we raise the seat it tilts to one side. If the seat malfunctions while braking may cause injuries. I have seen in the internet reports from others for a similar issue on Pontiac seats.”

NHTSA complaint #10817240, filed 2015-12, 106,300 miles

“While driving my vehicle my heated seats were on. However, I began to feel an unusual amount of heat and realized the seat had now started to burn. I immediately turned off the seat warmers. A saw a hole was now also burned through my jacket. When I called GM to set up an appointment for a different recall, I was asked to mention this issue to my dealer when I took my car to the dealership for recall. …”

NHTSA complaint #10633211, filed 2014-09, 128,000 miles

“My driver seat is loose on the right hand side. There is something broken, possibly the frame. I checked with other G6 owners, and they have filed complaints here for the same issue, so I wanted to add my vehicle as a complaint for this also.”

NHTSA complaint #10565193, filed 2014-02, 123,151 miles

“In a parking space as the seat was being adjusted up using the power up/down button, the seat made a popping noise. Upon inspection I found the metal bar that attaches to the seat from the motor had split at the point where the metal ring is attached to the seat. Again the metal actually was fatigued enough to break when the seat was being adjusted. This seat is not adjusted often and I feel this to be a safety issue that should be addressed as I am not the only one to have this problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10553140, filed 2013-11, 102,000 miles

“I went to go start my car to let it warm up and turned on the driver's and the passenger heated seats. I have used the driver's heated seat often. Ten to fifteen minutes later when I and my fiance went to leave and we opened the doors to my car we both smelled burnt plastic. The passenger side seat had burned a spot and there was a visible scorch mark on the seat. On monday, jan. 20, 2014 I called serra chevrolet in jackson, tn and they referred me to call general motors since my car was no longer under warranty. …”
