“My 08 Pontiac G6 is having difficulties with the breaking, traction, and cruise control. My break lights are staying on all the time even when my break pedal is not pressed and my traction control is shutting off as soon as I start up my car as well as my cruise control picks and chooses when it is going to work and when it does work it is not disengaging properly.”

NHTSA complaint #10966103, filed 2017-03, 100,000 miles

“In september of 2014 my vehicle (2008 Pontiac G6) was involved in a server accident when I was on the I-75 interstate merging onto the I-20 ramp when I lost control of my vehicle upon braking and jerking of the steering wheel resulting in loss of all control of my vehicle at this point. I hit the guardrail and one other vehicle was involved as well. The city of atlanta is where the incident occurred.”

NHTSA complaint #11253437, filed 2019-09, 148,000 miles

“Brake lights are either always on, causing traction control to fail, or they are on when the brakes are not applied and off when braking. This also causes cruise control to not work. Anyone driving behind me can not tell when I am braking. Some 2008 G6 models were recalled but for some reason my 2008 G6 has this problem and was not recalled.”

NHTSA complaint #10817598, filed 2016-01, 100,000 miles

“-brake lights are on all the time until I press down on the brake. Then brake lights come back on after a few seconds. -cruise control works when the brake lights are off, but only for a few seconds because of the first issue -when using cruise control and applying the brakes the car does not slow down until I turn off cruise control.”

NHTSA complaint #10544486, filed 2013-09, 132,361 miles

“While approaching a stop sign I pressed the brake pedal and was almost rear-ended due to my brake lights not coming on until brake pedal was fully depressed down to the floor. I continue to have this problem and now have to brake later to be able to press the pedal down enough to illuminate the brake lights. Thus putting myself and others in danger of a possible accident.”
