“The last year my passenger airbag light and seatbelt like goes on and off when no one is sitting in that seat. My power steering light is going off now and power steering has gone out multiple times. At high speeds I feel loss of steering control and wobbly. At stand still and stop signs my steering wheel shakes. I do not feel safe at all driving due to a feeling of no control of the car.”
NHTSA complaint #11183195, filed 2019-02, 76,000 miles“I was stopped at a stop sign. Other vehicle stopped to my left, so I turned right. He accelerated, hitting my car. I had a hole in my door[ drivers] and he took my bumper off, totaling my car. The air bags never deployed. He hit me hard enough to put a large hole in the metal door, and the drivers side air bag, or any air bag, did not deploy.”
NHTSA complaint #10596770, filed 2014-06, 85,000 miles“Takata recall I have contacted you on several occasions regarding this matter. The air bags and brakes (front/rear) are not working properly. The ab light continuously blanking the words needs to be serviced and I've had the brakes repaired and still hear a noise upon impact.”
NHTSA complaint #10957771, filed 2017-03, 121,000 miles“I had rear ended somebody on the freeway doing approx 35 MPH. The damage to my car included folded up hood, punctured radiator, busted up bumper and both headlights. The airbags did not deploy. There looked to be sufficient damage and speed to cause them to pop. Not sure why they didn't. I had my seat belt on but am still very sore from the accident and it just happened today.”
NHTSA complaint #10577277, filed 2014-04, 88,000 miles“The passenger side airbag indicator light will come on. This has been happening since 2011. I believe this has a correlation with the battery because when the indicator light starts to come on every time I'm driving the car, I know the battery will soon die. I have been through three batteries since owning my car (2010). Once I get a new battery, the indicator light will not come on for a while.”
