“My vehicle was stationary at a red light waiting to turn left on a city street in park, as I tried shifting gears back to drive the car jerked forward very intensely ' which it has done multiple times before' . Before reaching the drive position. It then proceeded forward out of my control into the back of a truck linking my front bumper to the hinge on the back of the truck.. …”
NHTSA complaint #11383411, filed 2020-12, 242,000 miles“Takata recall, I have a 2007 Pontiac G6 base model. It has 110,756 miles and it breaking down badly. The gear shift, transmission and steering wheel control all started to mess up around the same time. My friends father had the same exact car a few years ago and said that they have a transmission problem and to call the dealership and/or the manufacturer to find a solution to my problem.”
NHTSA complaint #11191030, filed 2019-03, 110,756 miles“Our Pontiac G6 hardtop convertible caught fire without any notice. The car had been previously driven at 75 MPH for an hour an and a half. It sat for 5 hours and then when we were driving at 10 MPH, it suddenly caught fire.”
NHTSA complaint #11353632, filed 2020-09, 144,000 miles“Was informed that the catalytic converter was bad and need to be replaced. This was replaced three years ago so I got a second opinion and was given the same diagnostic. Called GM and was told that the recall expired at 120,000 miles. Technically the part on the vehicle doesn't have 120,000 miles on it because it was replaced at 65,000 miles. And I was never sent a recall notice.”
NHTSA complaint #10552108, filed 2013-11, 130,154 miles“I cannot remove my key from the ignition in the morning before my car warms up. If I stop to get gas in the morning, I have to leave the key in the ignition because it gets stuck in the key ignition. Only after my car warms up will I be able to remove my key.”
