“I was driving to work as usual and it sounded like something broke and my seat belt got loose all of a sudden.I was driving on a straight road with no turns or no other changes.the problem was that the seat belt was not retracting back anymore.a part like a seat belt is supposed to function at all times and is something that should not fail unless it got damaged due to a major impact on the car.this could have put my life at risk if I was in an accident and the seat belt would have failed at that point.”
NHTSA complaint #11047185, filed 2017-11, 86,000 miles“My biggest concern is the power steering. When I start the car, it only works about 50% of the time. I have to turn he ignition off and restart the car 3-4 times to get it to work properly. If it goes out while I'm driving, I could easily get hurt or hurt someone else. My seat belt sensor doesn't work. It beeps and dings at me while I'm driving, very distracting...makes me jump when I'm concentrating on the road. I had to replace the same headlight 3-4 times in 3 months. The harness was all melted when the mechanic got it out. …”
NHTSA complaint #11072005, filed 2018-02, 132,000 miles“On a clear day, traveling on a local hwy, check airbag light came on, stayed on. I have been asking other owners if they have the same problem. I was told the airbag won't deploy if that light is on. That scares the hell out of me! Now the seat belt light is on because I moved the drivers seat forward. That is intermittent. Please, find the right person to declare this worthy of a recall. One person dying because of this is one person too many. Airbags and seat belts are our only safety in a car. …”
NHTSA complaint #10926532, filed 2016-11, 237,000 miles“Driving local roads approximately 25 to 30 MPH the drivers seat of 2008 G6 gxp (electronic leather bucket seat) broke free and collapsed on the right side. Upon personal inspection and later verified by three mechanics including two GM certified dealership mechanics it was discovered that the cross support towards the front of the seat had broken free at a weld. This in turn caused the seat to collapse down and towards the center console. I noticed immediately that the seat belt is fastens to the seat and now freely floats with the seat upon movement. …”
NHTSA complaint #10824248, filed 2016-02, 90,000 miles“Intermittent flashing beeping seat belt alert while wearing seatbelt. Now airbag service light on permanently. Started while driving approx 35 miles per hour on city street. Did VIN search, stating no recalls for it. I have read multiple similar complaints. I'm scared for my safety. Want to find out if there is a recall so problem can be addressed asap.”
