“Its leaks when its rains. The right side of my car lights stopped working. The front and brake light are out on the right side. Left side lock switch doesnt work. Also my gear switch sometimes keep me in parked or reverse from day to day travels. I could get in the car go to the store and my car will not come out of reverse or park.”

NHTSA complaint #11289548, filed 2019-12, 5 miles

“One day my rear doors wouldn't unlock or lock, when this happens have to have someone climb into the back seat from the front seat to unlock. When you lock the doors u must check to see if they locked, there are days the looks work but most days they do not work. I feel this would be a safety issue if ever in an accident.”

NHTSA complaint #10694969, filed 2015-03, 47,000 miles

“I own a 4 door sedan G6 with power door locks - the left rear power door lock has quit causing me to have to reach across the seat to lock / unlock the door = not ideal in case of an accident. My intermediate steering shaft is clicking and grinding inside the column and the headlight wiring harness continues to melt causing the headlight to go dim = all of these safety and fire hazards need recall.”

NHTSA complaint #10672142, filed 2015-01, 56,000 miles

“Water drains from the dome light area and sunroof. Brought it in multiple times to Pontiac shops. They say the fixed the issue, but it happens again months down the road. This apparently happens to many Pontiac 6 2008 owners. This is a major issue as the leak occurs when I'm driving on the highway and distracts me from the road. It never happens when I'm still, only when the car is moving. I have all the reports for all the visits I've made since I bought this car new in 2008. …”

NHTSA complaint #10575318, filed 2014-03, 15,000 miles

“My 2008 Pontiac G6 has leaked water since the day I bought it; however, I did not know how bad it was. Finally, the water leaking in ruined an electrical component - the accelerator pedal position (app) sensor. Upon investigation I found black mold all over on the inside of my car (under the carpet). Finally, GM decided to fix the leak, plus clean my carpet. Unfortunately, within 8 months it was leaking again and black mold is all over under the carpet. I worked with GM and the dealership for months; they took a very lazy approach to my situation and did not seem to care. …”
