“May 24, 2016, I was stopped for a roadside DOT inspection. That inspection revealed that the brake lights on my truck were not working. All other lights were operable, turn signals, parking lights, tail lights, reverse lights, emergency flashers. However the brake lights on the trailer I was towing were operating properly.as were all other lights on the trailer. After attempting repairs myself, checking fuses, inspecting wiring, replaced brake light control switch, I took the truck to a Ram dealer for repairs. The truck was taken to the Ram dealer may 31, 2016. …”
NHTSA complaint #10882032, filed 2016-07, 165,000 miles“Largest and most costly has been the death wobble , have to have an alignment every 3 months, had to add a stabilizer bar to somewhat control the situation but not fixed it, this has been going on since 2016, happens if vehicle hits any kind of bump or rut at more than 10mph, also having issues with warnings to have things serviced and instrument screen controlling itself or not coming on, while running or in motion for all of these, has had multiple recalls,”
NHTSA complaint #11103038, filed 2018-06, 50,000 miles“My concern is the blinker bulb replacement. Something that is required by law and safety standards to function, should be readily accessible and changeable. However on this vehicle the manufacturer provided lights are non replaceable without changing the entire assembly. In order for myself to satisfy the laws of the road I must spend an additional $1000 instead of the typical 5 dollar bulb. This is affecting my ability to drive on the road safely and is forcing me to park my truck until the light assemblies arrive one week from now. Not only is this ridiculous but it is criminal.”
