“The TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) quit reading the tire pressure on my truck within the first few hundred miles of ownership. My truck has been in the shop for a total of 6 times for 8-10 days for this issue. The dealer could not figure why the system quit....they have replaced the sensors, the rf hub, etc. I have just over 7,000 miles on this truck and they finally got it to work correctly about a month ago. This week, it has stopped functioning again. …”
NHTSA complaint #10605825, filed 2014-06, 400 miles“The contact owns a 2014 Ram 3500 equipped with nexen rodian ht xrx5 tires, size: lt235/80/r17 (na). While driving at various speeds, the vehicle shook. The contact noticed that both front tires experienced tread separation. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and the tires were replaced. The failure recurred to the rear passenger tire. The rear passenger tire was not replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures. The manufacturer stated that the tires were entry level tires and should not be on the vehicle. The approximate vehicle and tire failure mileage was 6,500.”
