“Vehicle accelerated on its own. When leaving a driveway I accelerated up to speed, then eased my foot off the accelerator to start coasting up to the intersection ahead. Vehicle started slowing, but after a second or two, it started accelerating on its own again. I had my foot on the brake and could slow the vehicle a bit. The acceleration lasted about 5 seconds.”
NHTSA complaint #10424744, filed 2011-09, 82,000 miles“Thought this was a good deal just purchased on 11/4/13. With a 100,000 mile warranty. Yeah right have had nothing but trouble since I drove it. And they told me they fixed all the problems. Today is the 13th they told me to take it out of town on my planned trip and see how it does.the farther we drove the worse the transmission kept slipping. So on the 12th I took it back in and the service dept. Told me they are limited on what they can fix on a used car even under warranty. …”
NHTSA complaint #10552149, filed 2013-11, 57,845 miles“On two occasions my car stopped driving while going around 40 to 55 MPH. I was driving sometime the end of july 2015 when the car stopped without warning while going about 45 MPH. The dash lights were on but all panels were on 0. It made a couple of thrusts then stopped. After a minute I put my foot on the gas and the car resumed driving. On august 8th while my husband was driving it going about 55 MPH the car stopped again with no warning but finally a warning came on indicating a problem with the stabilitrak and then he was able to press the gas and the car started moving again. …”
NHTSA complaint #10747449, filed 2015-08, 107,540 miles“Transmission failure! I was trying to park, the reverse control didn't work properly, check engine came on. After few hours parked, I went back home, the speed wasn't working (RPM 3 and 4 speed 35) and the light was still on. I got home, a mechanic came over to check it, he said it was the transmission. I took it to gmc, they worked the recalls (?? I don't know still what recalls they work on it), and told me it is the transmission. I have to pay $4,500 if I want a new one, $200 less if I want an used one or rebuild. Since it is more that 5 years old, no warranty on in. …”
NHTSA complaint #10561592, filed 2014-01, 74,000 miles“I was driving to church on aug. 11, 2013 with my 3 year old and 11 year old niece and nephew. The car was running fine. Went down a hill and the car was having problems with the gas and then the check engine light came on. I was at a stop sign and I was turning right. The rpms went up like I was going really fast and then realized I was not getting the gas I should have been getting. I had to stop in the middle of the road with a car behind me and turn around. I was so nervous I didn't know if any other car was coming because I could barely go in reverse. …”
