“I own a 2019 Subaru Legacy. I am very shocked that I have experienced three major windshield cracks within only 18 months of purchasing the vehicle. The first one was only 5 months after I bought the car (02/07/20), the 2nd time was 7 months later (9/17/20), and the 3rd time was on may 1st, 2021. The cracks came out of nowhere; once while driving on a light traffic street, once while on the highway, and once while the car was parked. Replacing the windshield for the Subaru is very expensive! The company refuses to cover the cost. …”
NHTSA complaint #11415068, filed 2021-05, 3,500 miles“Driving down the expressway at a speed less that 50mph when my windshield cracked unexpectedly and seeming from nothing being flung toward the vehicle or dropping from the sky.”
NHTSA complaint #11317975, filed 2020-03, 4,000 miles“I walked out to my car this afternoon to find my third cracked windshield since I purchased the car in September of 2019. I have reached out to the dealership and they have denied any issues and are unwilling to say there are any problems. As many reports and lawsuits are pending, I am trying to figure out what to do.”
NHTSA complaint #11461827, filed 2022-04“The infotainment system screen is delaminating. I can not see my surroundings when in reverse. The system is paired with my mobile telephone and randomly calls persons in my contact list without my requesting it do so. The radio can not be turned off and it consistently makes noises as if it is attempting to scan different radio stations. These defects first appeared at 34,000 miles, well below the 36,000 mile warranty period.”
NHTSA complaint #11556680, filed 2023-11“My vehicle light is on keeps saying oil at temp as well as other lights are currently turn on. I took it to subaru location was informed my transmission was bad. But the car drives well just have a bunch of lights.”
