“I've experienced problems with the center Infotainment screen about 2 months after purchasing a 2022 Outback Wilderness edition. It seems to happen when I use Apple CarPlay (as this is the only way I listen to music and must plug in my phone using the USB to start CarPlay). The Infotainment screen has a long lag time to respond to clicks on the center screen, will freeze, and crash the system suddenly. …”
NHTSA complaint #11536503, filed 2023-08“(adas) r wave radar sensor/blind spot warning sensor. No warning for the stationary object (tree) behind my vehicle causing a collision. A report will be made to the Subaru dealership once the vehicle is repaired by the collision center. Insurance adjusters have reviewed. No warning lights, or any signs of any issue until the blind spot sensor failed to properly warn me of the stationary object.”
NHTSA complaint #11433231, filed 2021-09“I have videos. I have been having major issues with a lot of aspects of the car. However, the most concerning is the obstacle detection going off randomly when there is NOTHING in front of the car, and the other major issue is that the lane assist feature keeps pulling the car out of the lane I am in. Randomly throughout a cruise control drive, the car will pull towards an inner lane. I fight with the car to keep it in the correct lane. If I relax my grip even slightly, the car pulls me into the other lanes of traffic. …”
NHTSA complaint #11472784, filed 2022-07“Vehicle navigation system crashes with a black screen once or twice a day. While the system is rebooting, navigation, Eyesight and Reverse Automatic Braking are disabled. Needless to say, this is very distracting and especially bad since Eyesight is required to avoid a collision. This has happened multiple times over the 11 months that I've owned the vehicle.”
NHTSA complaint #11471358, filed 2022-06“Subarus forward looking eyesight and rear auto braking functions will stop working periodically also the stereo/infotainment system will go blank causing you to no longer access the the safety features of the car or any controls for the heating/AC system.”
