“I have had numerous issues with the range switch in my 2007 Suzuki Forenza. The first time at approximately 38k miles, and now again at approximately 70k miles. Each time I've had this fixed, it has cost me over $200. Suzuki customer service refuses to acknowledge this as a defect, and continues to take money from their clients who purchased faulty vehicles.”
NHTSA complaint #10451925, filed 2012-03, 38,588 miles“We just bought this car in august 2012. Since then my seat belt button turned on and took it to the Suzuki dealer and they fixed it. Also the passenger air bag also and they fixed it. Then took it to the dealer to get the oil changed and they said I had a radiator leak ( I wonder how true was that sometimes) repaired it and it cost $400.... Now when I was driving the car check engine light turned on and now it was the gas cap that needed to be replaced!!! Wth so we replaced that part. …”
NHTSA complaint #10520289, filed 2013-06, 101,405 miles“I brought a brand new 2007 Suzuki Forenza in 2007 and since then have had problems ever since. In the first week I brought it the timing belt had broke. Soon after the transmission messed up and was told the engine needed to be rebuilt. Thanks to my extended vehicle warranty (not by Suzuki) I was able to get this fixed without paying out of pocket. Now not even two years later I am being told that the front strut mount and struts are going bad and need to be replaced (estimated at $687.00). …”
NHTSA complaint #10508872, filed 2013-04, 85,879 miles“I purchased a 2007 Suzuki Forenza in dec 2006 and my transmission range sensor went bad in august of 2007, it went bad again less than a year later in june 2008, again in 2010 and now as of today november 22,2011 I have to put it back in the shop for the transmission range sensor. I really do feel like this should had been a recall considering I am not the only Suzuki Forenza owner that has had the ongoing issues . I have came out of pocket over $600 so far on getting this problem fix because it was not cover under warranty.”
NHTSA complaint #10436838, filed 2011-11, 7,100 miles“This is the 2nd time I have had issues with my car in regards to having to get the drive range sensor repaired; alot of Suzuki owners have also had this issue as well.”
