“I bought a 2007 Suzuki Forenza 4 door sedan new in 2007 but now the drive lights would not turn off did this once before about three months ago but turned off after about 47 minutes after I took the battery cable a lose. It started again on may 24, 2011 when my wife took our kids to basketball practice she smelt something burning, the car burst into flames with a lot of smoke down by her leg, another motorist saw her and put the fire out with a fire extinguisher. The car does not run it will turn over but not crank no power in car, no lights nothing works. …”
NHTSA complaint #10402750, filed 2011-05, 45,000 miles“Suzuki Forenza 2007, 42,000 miles. 1) transmission range sensor: transmission slips when in drive -- panel shows a d with a slash through it. After researching, have found this to be extremely common among the most well-maintained forenzas. Unacceptable. Engine light came on and as soon as I tried to go forward ,the car would just decelerate down like 10 or 20 MPH scary within a matter of seconds and no matter how much I pushed the pedal to accelerate to the floor but it was as if I didn't have power. 2)tire pressure light comes on every other day. …”
NHTSA complaint #10336438, filed 2010-06, 40,000 miles“On may 2, 2011 I purchased 3 riken raptor 85v 195/155vr5 tires from aspen tire & auto, inc. In wilmington, north carolina for my 2007 Suzuki Forenza. On may 13, 2012 (1 year later) while driving on a paved road after a turn left onto a two lane road with a speed limit of 40 MPH we suddenly heard what sounded like a very loud bang, following by a significant drop on the right passenger side of the car and many more loud banging, and thudding sounds. We did not hit anything in the road. The vehicle was dropped down on the right side and was extremely difficult to drive. We had to drive approx. …”
NHTSA complaint #10465409, filed 2012-07, 67,792 miles“My tire went flat on saturday july 12th, 2008 and I went to a local gas station and they checked the tire for me. They took it apart and found no hole in the tire and realized that my valve was broken with a sensor attached to it. They took the part out and replaced it with a regular valve without the sensor. I called Suzuki in plaistow, new hampshire where I bought the car and they referred me to the hooksett location in new hampshire. I brought my car into the hooksett location on july 19th, 2008. I currently do not have the piece I gave it to the service department. …”
NHTSA complaint #10235445, filed 2008-07, 29,000 miles“My front left tire keeps going flat for whatever reason. I have purchased two new tires within the last six months. The first time I got my flat the whole tire went behind the rim and damaged my rim. I went to go get a new tire the next day. The second time I got a flat happened just a few months after the first time and it was on the exact same time; the front left. I went to get a new tire and rim this time since they had a rim to fit. Well today; august 16, 2014, my tire seemed slack, so I went to put air into the tire. I have yet to find out if it was a flat or not. …”
