“I am reaching out to say that I saw the model s and x recall for touchscreen glitches. I have a Model Y 2021 and I'm experiencing many of the same concerns and issues with loss of safety features like back up camera, proximity censors, land change, and more. This tends to happen when I enter the car and start moving. It won't resolve itself till I leave the car, walk away, and reenter the car.”
NHTSA complaint #11387972, filed 2021-01, 2,000 miles“Vehicle made a sudden right turn when it was on auto pilot and because of that there are minor cosmetic damages to wheel and tire. Manufacturer doesn't accept any fault when it was humanly impossible to control the vehicle because of sudden turn.”
NHTSA complaint #11396221, filed 2021-02, 100 miles“Even after the recent recall for backup camera freezing, my backup camera froze again today. I took the car in, in the past, to report the problem and was told to reset the computer even after the technician witnessed the problem. Got charged $300 so haven't been back. Problem has been there for a couple of years. I had hoped the software update would fix it but no such luck.”
NHTSA complaint #11741705, filed 2026-06“While driving my Tesla on FSD mode, my Tesla had critical error and warn me to take over. My navigation and GPS froze. I did several reboot and power cycle and nothing worked. I reach out to Tesla and they stated that I will need a new computer hardware replacement. My Tesla was working fine until they push the new FSD lite software version 14.1 to Tesla vehicle with an incomparable hardware spec.”
NHTSA complaint #11770992, filed 2026-10“The steering is not functioning properly. This is sealed system and no where else I can get it. This a safety issue and I haven't seen any car steering failing like this. Even cars as old as 20 year has no such issues. This is huge slap on of $3k+ on consumer. The cars is hardly 5 year old.”
