“My Tesla model Y performance 2022 was purchased on September 26, 2022. I found that the left rear wheel was leaking in July 2023. After other tire repair shops failed to find the cause of the leak, I went to the Alhambra Tesla service center for further inspection. They found that my wheels rims had cracks that caused the tire to leak very slowly. These cracks are invisible to the naked eye (I still have this wheel rim at home). …”

NHTSA complaint #11511052, filed 2023-03

This deformation prevents proper alignment of the suspension bolt and makes a 4-wheel alignment impossible. Tesla refused warranty coverage, claiming “impact damage,” citing only cosmetic wheel rim scrape as evidence. However: 1. …”

NHTSA complaint #11683017, filed 2025-08

“I have a Tesla Model Y that experienced what looks like a steering malfunction, with documented data and repair records already in hand. While driving our 2024 Tesla Model Y when the steering wheel suddenly turned itself, hard left, and driver couldn't regain control. The car went up a hillside, between a utility/ electricity pole and an electrical box, coming to a stop just inches from the pole. No injury, but real vehicle damage. I pulled Tesla's own vehicle data log for that exact moment. It shows the steering angle went from +362° to -358° — basically two full wheel rotations — in about 1. …”
