“At approximately 5:50 PM on Feb 12, 2026, a collision occurred while the vehicle was under the control of Full Self-Driving (Supervised). While parked in a commercial lot, I engaged FSD to initiate a route home. A stationary semi-truck was positioned behind my vehicle. Upon engagement, the FSD system failed to detect the presence of the stationary truck. The vehicle initiated a rearward/lateral maneuver at a speed of 1 mph, directly striking the corner of the semi-truck. …”

“Home link failure 1 Homelink was set to close the garage at 90 feet. Garage was open and I was parking manually going in reverse. Home link closed the garage as rear of my car was entering. Since tesla has a taller base and the wing like device projects beyond the car was damaged. 2 Homelink does not work consistently and this has put my home at risk because sometimes the garage door does not close as it is supposed to. 3 I had a service call. The technician saw the problem and claimed to have fixed it. …”

NHTSA complaint #11750494, filed 2026-07

“7/17/26 about 8pm my Tesla Model Y backed into a wall under FSD (full self driving). The vehicle was placed into FSD to assist in backing the car from a narrow street into a garage space. Wall on one side and another SUV parked on the driver side. Driver was monitoring the vehicle maneuver forward and backward attempting to clear the wall so it can back into the space. The vehicle appeared to be close to the wall and I anticipated the vehicle to inch forward but instead the car went backwards into the wall and caused damage to my vehicle. …”

NHTSA complaint #11751313, filed 2026-07

“While my vehicle was operating in Full Self-Driving (FSD) mode, it encountered an accident upon attempting to park in my garage. The collision resulted in substantial damage to the driver’s side rear end and the garage wall. Notably, there was no manual intervention during the entire journey from my son’s school and the parking attempt. The FSD system failed to detect the proximity of the garage and did not initiate braking or provide any warning before impacting the wall. In this instance, the FSD system exhibited multiple failures. I have subsequently reported the incident to Tesla.”

NHTSA complaint #11737508, filed 2026-05

“On the day after taking delivery of my 2026 Tesla Model Y, FSD reversed into a visible stationary garage pillar while backing into my garage. The vehicle did not stop before impact and stopped only after contacting the pillar, resulting in more than $6,000 in vehicle damage. The following day, while FSD was attempting a left turn at an intersection, the vehicle nearly entered the opposing-traffic lane before making several hesitant steering corrections. I disengaged FSD and completed the turn manually to avoid a potential collision. Both incidents occurred within two days of delivery. …”
