“Rear tail light housing melted from the heat of the bulb. Bulb had been changed half of dozen times since we bought car. It was a Toyota certified used car with 35000 miles on it when it was bought.it is only the right side rear taillight that has been effected.it seems that the bulbs burn out more consistently now.”

NHTSA complaint #10176966, filed 2006-12, 100,000 miles

“Turn signal blinks very rapidly when headlights are turned on. Speed returns to normal when the steering wheel is turn. Signals operate normally when the headlights are off. I've noticed this on my father's 1998 Camry and on another driver's Camry (1998-2001 model?- same body style as mine). I'm afraid the signals will stop working, which is especially worrisome in traffic or at night.”

NHTSA complaint #762559, filed 2002-06
