“On one occassion after the vehicle was parked in the garaged for a couple of hours, I went out into the garage and heard a faint whispering/humming noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. I put the key in the ignition and turned it to the first position, then turned the key back and the sound stopped.”

NHTSA complaint #11318892, filed 2020-03, 20,500 miles

“Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2019 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that while attempting to review the Carfax Report for the vehicle, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 39,893, and at the time of reviewing the Carfax, it was discovered that the mileage was altered but unavailable.”

NHTSA complaint #11681571, filed 2025-08, 39,893 miles

“On several occasions, after turning off the car (plus minus 4 pm), when entering the garage (about 8 pm), a noise is felt, as if something electric were activated, apparently the noise comes near the fuel tank or in the gas outlet system, at that moment only the noise is removed, when I start the car and turn it off”

NHTSA complaint #11310641, filed 2020-02, 4,700 miles

“Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2019 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that while attempting to register the vehicle, it was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 45,709, and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage listed on the title was 46,091. Additionally, the contact later became aware that the vehicle was a salvaged vehicle. The seller was contacted several times but blocked all communications.”

NHTSA complaint #11754726, filed 2026-08, 46,091 miles

“Note: this is for the 2019 Corolla hatchback, not the sedan. It would apply to 2020 Corolla sedans as well, though, but not 2019 sedans. The hood over the instrument cluster is not large enough to sufficiently prevent glare on the instrument cluster, making the gauges difficult to read. See attached images, one showing the full glare, one using my hand to extend the hood of the gauge cluster and provide shade for the right half. Happens in motion or when stationary, completely dependent upon direction of the car and time of day.”
