However the side curtain airbags deployed, startling my wife and limiting her vision on either side of the vehicle. Fortunately She was able maintain control of the vehicle, steer to a safe location and stop off the roadway. …”
NHTSA complaint #11668172, filed 2025-06“SRS Airbag System Malfunction light came on. After I got gas for the vehicle and got in start up this error popped up. I heard this is a common problem with these vehicles please have a recall to fix the problem”
NHTSA complaint #11646122, filed 2025-03“My pregnant wife is parking her car at her work when she accidentally step on the gas pedal instead of the brakes. She panicked and she drove all the way to the wall. Airbags were not activated. 911 was dispatched. Police report made. Only minor injury finger fracture and chest bruise. There was a severe frontal damage to the car. Insurance deemed it totaled due to frame damage. I also complained to Toyota. They hired a software engineer to investigate. Just received official letter from Toyota there weee no defects in their safety system. …”
NHTSA complaint #11653934, filed 2025-04“Airbags, seats, and headrest all failed. State Farm insurance currently has the vehicle. I do not know if the people has been inspected by anybody. The vehicle had no warning lamps message or other symptoms of problems or failure before the collision. I was traveling in the far left lane when traffic came to abrupt stop and I was able to stop 10 to 15 ft from the vehicle in front of me. Two vehicles in my line behind me swerved out of the way. Then a semi truck with a trailer rear-ended me. The front end of the semi truck struck the rear end of my vehicle getting lodged inside my vehicle. …”
