“My 2025 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter consistently experiences a severe loss of engine power while driving in rainy conditions. During precipitation, the vehicle suddenly loses acceleration capability, sputters, and becomes highly unresponsive, creating an immediate highway hazard as it cannot maintain traffic speeds. I suspect water ingress through the high-mount air intake (snorkel) system or factory airbox is affecting the engine's airflow sensors or electrical connectors. This happens every time I drive in heavy rain. …”

“The driver's side window switch panel failed and caught on fire. It is available for inspection. It will be towed to a toyota dealership tomorrow. Nobody was in the vehicle when the fire started. The problem has not been confirmed or reproduced by a dealer. The vehicle has not been inspected, is going in for inspection tomorrow. There was no warning or indication prior to the fire starting.”

The problem occurs across multiple iPhones, different cables, and even after ensuring that both the phone and the truck’s software are updated. Many other 4th-generation Tacoma owners (2024–2025) are reporting the same issue online — CarPlay will drop connection, the system freezes, or CarPlay will not appear as an available input for long periods. …”
