2024 Toyota Tundra Forward collision avoidance Problems

“The lens on the forward facing camera in the front grill cracked making the camera useless and in need of replacement. I first noticed the problem about a year ago. It is available for inspection. I can't see any damage around the camera that would have been caused by an object hitting the front of the truck which leads me to believe that the camera lens cracked because of a defect. The camera has not been inspected by the dealer however I have gotten a replacement estimate at the dealer.”

“Throttle body was replaced, no dealer advice to replace driving down the road all of a sudden my vehicle went from highway speeds to limp mode on the middle of the highway and a whole bunch of warnings came on secondary brake system failure, hybrid control failure , stoped on the side of road truck stalled then restarted normal then all warnings came back and back to limp mode, problem comfirmed by dealer in el paso almost 300 miles away from home, not sure who the dealer showed to , and no prior warnings at all before this happend at 51k miles on my 2024 Toyota Tundra.”

“I have taken my vehicle in more than 3 times, regarding braking issues, the vehicle would brake automatically even when there is nothing in front of it, the pre collision sensor comes on in rain when there is no debris in front of it.Vwhicle was having throttle lag when come to a complete stop at a light.Now the panoramic roof is leaking, took it to the dealer more than 3 rimes for some these issues, regarding the roof leak, they said they were unable to duplicate it, I have videos showing it was leaking & pictures of all the malfunction from the dashboard.”

“I have had an issue several times which nearly resulted in a traffic accident. The truck has a sudden loss of acceleration where the gas pedal is completely dead. It last a few seconds and then goes back to normal. This has nearly caused several accidents where I could not properly accelerate while traffic was heading in my direction. After talking with other Tundra owners, I am not the only one with this issue. This needs immediate attention. If it is not fixed as soon as possible, I fear that someone will get seriously injured or killed. Please take this matter seriously. …”

“Truck hesitates when acceleration from a dead stop, brakes has squealed since new 1) when pulling out in traffic, truck randomly hesitates and then jerks to go, very concerning and unknown if i will pull into traffic and the truck wont go 2) brakes have squealed since it had 3k miles, very concerning that they will not stop the truck in an emergency”
