“I was driving home from work and I noticed the light came on for my airbag. I checked the manual and it said to bring it in to the service center immediately. I called and made an appointment and I was told the spiral cable was bad. I noticed other people have the same problem so I think this is a part that should be recalled.”
NHTSA complaint #10500669, filed 2013-02, 107,500 miles“In approximately may 2015 I replaced the hub on the right rear wheel. After the item was replaced and ABS sensor reattached I have had the issue of ABS and emergency brake light on continually on the dash upon startup, they never go off!!! Needless to say I have lost ABS since that time. I have had the diagnostics checked and there were three ABS relay sensor warning faults, front right, and both back wheels. Since then I have replaced all the wiring harnesses for the three wheels. The diagnostic shows no ABS relay faults. …”
NHTSA complaint #11155530, filed 2018-12, 90,000 miles“On the Toyota Yaris 2007 the accelerator sensor assembly is made of plastic. As I would go around corners the car would not accelerate even if I pushed the pedal all the way down. The car would become a virtual slug then accelerate quickly. Because of the poor design the electric connections cannot make good contact going around corners, up hill or from a dead stop.this almost caused me to be hit several times. I took it in to be repaired ($215.95) yet being of plastic it can happen again. …”
NHTSA complaint #10695425, filed 2015-03, 80,000 miles“1.events leading up to the failure: on several occasions my car seem not accell properly-I would have my foot on gas pedal and it would not go any faster and the car made noise similar to overheating or fanbelt with vibration-but the car would slow down when applied brakes-after letting car drift for a moment the car jolted then seemed to be fine-also, a week prior to the failure there was a clicking noise coming from the general area of where there was a recal corrected on my car a few months ago-I'm not sure if that has any relevance-2. …”
NHTSA complaint #10322519, filed 2010-03, 40,000 miles“Water drain for A/C system condenser clogged. Has happened every summer since purchase in 2007. Water fills the drain, and gets trapped within the unit leading to an overflow onto the blower and blower motor shorting the relays. Fuses are blown, and the blower motor needs replacing. It has happened several times. A mold buildup also occurs in carpeting leading to a health hazard.”
