“I was driving my 2007 Toyota Yaris sedan along I-75 northbound towards atlanta when all of a sudden my driver's side door window just exploded for no reason. The shattered glass blew out all over the inside of the passenger cabin. There was no external force that caused the glass to shatter (it simply exploded spontaneously).”

NHTSA complaint #10252361, filed 2008-12, 22,500 miles

“I was driving on the highway, going around 60 MPH, when the driver side window exploded. There did not seem to be anything that hit the window and there wasn't a noise before the explosion. Nothing else in the car was damaged.”

The contact then activated the power switch on the passenger side. The switch initially functioned, but then failed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was aware of NHTSA campaign number: 12v491000 (visibility), but the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was 99,000.”

“The contact owns a 2007 Toyota Yaris. The contact stated that the water drain for the air conditioning unit would become clogged, which would allow water to drain inside the vehicle from under the front passenger side dashboard. The vehicle was taken to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the blower and blower motor assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also stated that the driver side seat belt was slow to retract. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,225.”
