NHTSA complaint #11654642, filed 2025-04

Other or unknown: “I was driving on a highway on sunday afternoon, october 25, when the glass sunroof of my car exploded & shattered out of nowhere & without any warning. Pieces of glass came down through the hole, showering my dog & I. I pulled to the side safely & call the police. Thank god the dog & I were not injured & I didn't injure other drivers. I didn't hit a pot hole & I didn't feel like I was hit by a rock or any object, I wasn't even near any overpasses. I contacted Volkswagen to ask how & why this could have happened for no reason. …”

NHTSA complaint #10787218, filed 2015-10, 52,000 miles

Forward collision avoidance: “The Clockspring is a recalled item… Took the car in for repair in early February. They (Little Rock Volkswagen) said them and continue to say the part is on back order (and there is over 4000 on back order) and cannot tell me when the part will be in. I called VW corporate and filed a complaint, they said the back order problem is between the dealer and the part manufacturer… On a recalled item? This is unacceptable.
