“I was backing my 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 into my very tight driveway very slowly to avoid hitting my other car parked on the street, my house and my neighbors house. The parking collision sensor alerted me that I was close to my other car but I can see out my window that I had room to clear it safely so I continued to back into my driveway at about 1 mile an hour. …”

NHTSA complaint #11630752, filed 2024-12

“When I was backing from a parking space, another car drove behind mine and the car's maneuvering braking kicked in and decelerated the vehicle. When I stepped on the brake, the car then accelerated backwards and caused me to collide with the crossing vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11736787, filed 2026-05

“After six months, VW still doesn't have a repair for recall 24V344. My speedometer, backup camera, climate control, and all other functions controlled via the display screens malfunction. Both the dealer and and VW customer service have confirmed that no repair is available and they also will not provide a refund or replacement. My only option is to continue driving the car with malfunctioning key systems.”

NHTSA complaint #11625456, filed 2024-11

“This issue relates to NHTSA Recall 24V344 / VW Recall 919A as the repair for this recall has already been applied to my vehicle. Despite that, while driving, my vehicle experienced a complete electronics shutdown, including loss of the instrument cluster, center display, and rearview camera. This occurred after the recall 919A software update was applied. As such, I believe the safety of my self and others was put at risk. …”

NHTSA complaint #11685605, filed 2025-09

“I was backing up from a stand still on a parking lot when the car braked extremely hard. There briefly was a message on the center dash with the word emergency on it. The message went away immediately and the car continued to work normal. My neck is still hurting hours later from the very hard brake. During the whole incident there was no other car moving and no person or other object anywhere in the path of the car. I have not yet brought the car to the dealer but will do so next week.”
