“Filled my tank with gas. Got into the vehicle and started if and could almost immediately smell gas in cabin. Thought maybe I got gas the wasn’t good. Refilled twice with premium gas and smell did not go away and you could then smell it outside of the vehicle as well. Very strong, drive it to my VW Service Dealef to have it looked at then.”
NHTSA complaint #11682652, filed 2025-08“Stepping in the gas, the car takes about 4-5 seconds before it speeds up after each stop. When pulling out of a drive, the car sputtered and the check engine light was flashing and the Start/stop error came on. The delayed driving happens every time I drive the car. Only have about 44k miles on it. I have had multiple people almost rear end me. I have had the car for about 3 weeks now.”
NHTSA complaint #11689279, filed 2025-09“There is a major lag in throttle response after slowing then attempting to speed back up. For example, a car in front of me turns right at an intersection while in travel so I slow down. After stepping on the accelerator to speed back up, it can take 5-7 seconds before there is any response. At times it’s long enough that traffic behind me starts honking.”
NHTSA complaint #11498485, filed 2022-12“Head gasket was replaced due to no cap and causing fuel and engine issues. Multiple electrical issues where cat states multiple warnings.on dash turns.on and off by itself. Battery low voltage on dash have had it to dealer more then 3x and they say everything is fine. Suspenshion rear and front gave been given issues was told after bringing to my dealer that both where broken and they couldn't tell me why when there is no collision or anything that could have caused it. …”
NHTSA complaint #11772472, filed 2026-10“While driving the car threw a code for EPC and throttle became extremely un responsive. I had to limp to the side of the road and re start the car. The code is for “start/stop” this car has had many recalls and issues since I bought it. It feels extremely faulty.”
