Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Since purchased, engine dies, does not respond to throttle. Taken to dealer several times, escalated to Volvo. No codes, no trouble found. On tuesday vehicle stranded in intersection, no power. My wife desperately pumped the accelerator with no reaction until at last the engine came to life, allowing her to clear the intersection. This was a near miss accident. This is the third near miss. Volvo factory technician declared no failure on the basis of a test drive, and no codes.”
