NHTSA complaint #11194490, filed 2019-04, 48,000 miles

“When in park or with engine off the driver and passenger doors fail to open when internal handle is pulled. The pin rises when handled is pulled and retracts back when handle is released failing to unlock the door. Vehicle cannot be exited in a case when fast eggres is needed or when there is no power to use the power lock/unlock. Can be deadly in a car fire or similar grave condition.”

NHTSA complaint #11154001, filed 2018-11, 26,000 miles

“Intermittent issue where driver's side door won't unlock from the interior using the door handle. Door will not open until it's unlocked. Door can be unlocked using the electric central locking, and then opened using the handle.”

NHTSA complaint #11360679, filed 2020-09, 45,000 miles

“When attempting to open both the driver and passenger side front doors, pulling on the handle twice would not unlock and open the door. The only way to exit the vehicle is by pressing the electrical unlock button. This happens intermittently, the date below is only one of the many occurrences. The dealer has attempted to fix it 4 times. None has been successful. This is a safety issue. If we needed to exit the car and the electrical system was disabled, we would be unable to. I have videos of this happening but the form won't let me upload them.”

NHTSA complaint #11021165, filed 2017-09

“Passenger door lock failed and does not allow the door to be opened in an emergency. The door is designed to be unlocked by the first pull of the door handle then unlatched with the second pull of the handle, however after the first handle pull the lock immediately locks again preventing the second pull from unlatching the door. The system would be available for inspection. …”
