“I own a 2007 Cadillac CTS. On monday, march 17th, at 5:45am, I was driving south bound on I-75. While driving with the cruise control on, traveling around 77 MPH, at about mile marker 88, I heard a large thud noise like something hit the underbody of the vehicle. I then heard a loud metallic ringing noise and felt a vibration through the vehicle floor and steering wheel. I put my turn signal on to get over to the shoulder of the road. …”
NHTSA complaint #10576599, filed 2014-04, 74,665 miles“The display on the radio will only show one word of the artist or song. The dealership said that this was a flaw of the 2007 CTS radio and there was nothing that could be done. I contacted Cadillac and the restated what the dealership said and based her conclusion on the dealerships testing on one other 07 CTS. This is disappointing since I paid an extra $1,500.00 for the bose system.”
NHTSA complaint #10221058, filed 2008-03, 7,000 miles“I received a letter from GM c/w recall 14172. Have called to set up repairs and am told there are no parts available from GM by the dealer, the letter from GM clearly states parts are now available to repair your vehicle had one appointment canceled, called to reschedule and they asked me to call in a week, now they are asking me to call at the end of october. I have a life beyond me scheduling recall repairs with GM that can potentially affect my safety and has caused significant injury to others already. …”
NHTSA complaint #10640087, filed 2014-09, 49,600 miles“Mileage: 4,833 I had been waiting in line at a carwash, and when it was my turn to enter, I began to slowly move forward. As I was inching forward, my car began to move faster than it should. I applied the brake, but I did not have any and my steering was locked. It felt like my car stalled, but at the same time, it kept moving forward. Fortunately, I was able to engage my emergency brake to prevent me from crashing. This is the 2nd time this has happened. The first time was in august of '07. That time, I was parked at the top of my sloped driveway. …”
NHTSA complaint #10231118, filed 2008-06, 4,833 miles“Water (rain and washing) get inside on the door wells (I think that's what you call them) and the part of the door where the latch is. I noticed the first time I washed the car in 8/07. The autobody shop couldn't say why and the dealership really didn't investigate it. Also the rear driver's side door latch/lock will freeze and door will swing open!! I have since learned not to use this door when its below 32 degrees. After raining and the car has been sitting, the brakes squeak. Also have a noise in front when turning.”
