“This vehicle is equipped with a blind spot detector system. This system fails occasionally . This creates a safety issue if it fails when I am trying to change lanes. This has happened at least once. This vehicle has been in for service of this issue 4 or 5 times without any repair. The last time it was in, I was told there are other owners that have this problem and Cadillac is working on a fix . This was more than 5 months ago and I have heard nothing about a fix. I would like this issue addressed on a higher level.”

The vehicle was not taken to a dealer or an independent mechanic for diagnoses. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact mention the failure has occurred on two different occasions. The manufacture was notified of the failure and they informed him that he will have to pay out of pocket for the cost of the repair. The approximate failure mileage was 122,000.”
