NHTSA complaint #11170324, filed 2019-01, 35,000 miles

“1st problem, the left speaker started a loud screeching noise while the radio was still playing. I had to stop the car and turn off the engine to stop the noise. 2nd problem, when I hit a bump in the road, the radio shuts off. I can't get local stations. Only sirrus station. Now when I turn the steering wheel too hard the radio shuts off then comes back on. Now while driving on the high ways, the dash board lightsturns off by them selves momentarily then turns back on. Also because of these problems, I turn the radio off... And while driving the radio turns on by itself. …”

Driver cannot defrost the window. Then... After car is driven 10-15 miles they power on. (car warms up some) internet search reveals many others with similar problem. Some say clip a white wire behind radio, real fix is replace bcm. And dealer only program, the vehicle specific bcm (body control module) it may sound easy to just say... …”
