“Takata recall: my air bag sign probably in the beginning of january had appeared, and obviously they have not been working. I had gotten into an accident on january 31st and they did not deploy. I am not positive if this is a part of the recall situation, but it happened out of no where, I just turned my car on one day and it stopped working. Also in the accident my car was sitting at a red light and hit between the range of 35-40 MPH”

NHTSA complaint #10968177, filed 2017-03, 11,300 miles

“The rims on these 2007 cobalts bend easy with the size of tire they are sold with. Any pot hole hit at speeds of 30 - 55 MPH will bend these tire rims. I have replaced 2 rims at $ 111.00 a piece and my back rims are bent also. Wal-mart, tiemans tire and other tire stores are aware of the bad rims on these cobalts. You can not find any used rims anymore due to all are used to replace other bent rims on cobalts. This can cause you to loose control of your car if a pot hole bends a rim an you loose all air pressure in the tire. …”

NHTSA complaint #10494742, filed 2013-01, 111,256 miles

“I bought my 2007 Cobalt in july 2008, used only as a rental car with enterprise, with 34k miles. Within 2 months, my rotors were warped and had to be replaced. Milwaukee has a terrible problem w/ potholes so I've had to put 4 new rims and tires on it too and an alignment. It still shakes when I go between 45-60mph. Also, the gear shift keeps getting locked in park, like a sensor is broken or something. I have to continuously press on the brake until it gives. …”

NHTSA complaint #10265428, filed 2009-04, 41,000 miles

“Bought the car in may 2008, since then within one year we replaced tires on front 3 and needing a 4th time now. Brakes and rotors also have been changed 3 times each and still having trouble at 55 miles an hour shakes and some lose of control. Problem needs to be addressed but dealer and chevy says nothing!! Vehicles tires are losing tread on the front outside of the tires.”

NHTSA complaint #10285721, filed 2009-09, 30 miles
