“Our 2007 chevy Equinox had condensation in the headlights, which they were replaced when we bought the vehicle from the dealership may 20, 2014. In october 2015, condensation began building up again in the driver's side lens. We replaced a bulb in november and in february, ended up replacing the entire component due to condensation gathering in the headlight, to the cost of over $400! This is obviously a design flaw for this vehicle.”

“On october 19, 2009, I purchased a Chevrolet Equinox 2007. At the time of purchase I noticed condensation in the passenger side front headlight lens and I was told by the salesman at the time that it would burn off if I kept the lights on. Since that time both driver and passenger headlights have developed the condensation issue. The condensation does not burn off just keeps accumulating to the point where the headlight bulb would just burn out. …”

NHTSA complaint #10447199, filed 2012-02, 134,000 miles

“I have had my Equinox since 2008; it is a 2007 model. I have had continual repairs on the electrical rear lights and the belt tensioner, but this next repair is by far the worst. When the car was in park position the odor of gasoline was strong around the perimeter of the car. When driving, the smell of gas circulated into the air conditioning system penetrating the inside of the car. The smell was strongest on the outer side by the gas tank. I took the car to get a diagnostic test and found a leak above the gas tank. …”

“My gas cap has gone bad on a 2 1/2 yr old SUV? I was told this is rare by the state inspector. The dealer does not want to help me at all and I do not understand as I have had one problem after with my SUV.”
