“I need to report that when driving on these icy roads that my awd Equinox feels like it swerves? It feels like it takes me into the other lane most of the time. Now, I don't know if its the awd causing it but other awd vehicles that I've driven have never did it this bad to the point that it feels almost like my back end starts going sideways.”
NHTSA complaint #11173416, filed 2019-01, 155,300 miles“My wife was making a left hand turn and the power steering went out making it difficult to complete the turn due to fact that she couldn't turn the steering wheel. She was just starting to accelerate through the turn so speed wasn't an issue. Thankfully she wasn't traveling at a faster speed. We were told by the dealer that the Equinox needs a steering gear replaced.”

I am taking it into the dealer next week for further evaluation but it appears other people have had this problem based on internet info and a couple have filed complaints with your agency.”

The electrical also seems to have an issue where the radio will start flashing and the air bag warning keeps coming on even after they have stated all of the issues have been fixed and parts have been replaced. This car has been in the shop more than I have owned it. I am scared for my families safety.”
