Example complaints

One per model year, chosen for length and detail. Personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

2006: “The problem started about a month before the incident. The ABS light would come on intermittent. After a week it stayed on. When the light was on the brakes acted normal except no ABS function. I was driving to work (about 30 MPH) and stepped on the brake to slow for a curve. When I stepped on the brake this time, I noticed the ABS light went out and the van jerked violently to the right. On to the muddy shoulder and into the guard rail.”

2003: “Several of the exhaust header bolts are broken on both sides of my 5.3 litter engine. I did some internet searching and found a lot of people with 5.3 litter engines having the same issue.”

NHTSA complaint #10908790, filed 2016-09, 290,000 miles

2007: “I was the sole occupant. Concerning the information above the date is accurate within about a week and may be determined exactly. Mileage is correct within a thousand miles. My injuries were not major and I declined treatment specifically because I needed to deal with the wrecker and such. End of preamble I was leaving the garage at the condo where I live. There is a steep initial grade ending in a 90 deg. Left followed by a more modest decline ending at a street with traffic. …”
