NHTSA complaint #11210389, filed 2019-05, 57,000 miles

“I was involved in a rear-end collision, where I was sitting stationary. The other vehicle hit me going estimated speed of 50 MPH. The air bags did not deploy, yet the gas from the airbags filled the vehicle and some of the plastic in the interior has been broken/damaged. The police officer asked me if I vaped , that is how cloudy it was inside the vehicle and smelled like sulfur. This has caused great concern that the airbags did not deploy, yet the gases from them did.”
