“My dash on my 2010 Chevrolet SILVERADO 1500 is cracked in multiple places, including over the passenger airbag and instrument cluster. Over the instrument cluster there is now a 6 inch wide hole which leaves electrical components exposed. This is a large safety issue and I would like to have a factory replacement since this a widely known defect by GM.”

NHTSA complaint #11067406, filed 2018-02, 66,000 miles

“I was driving and there was snowy conditions, but I came to a complete stop then proceeded to turn left, it was slippery but I hit nothing and my curtain air bags deployed for no reason scared the crap outta me, I stopped and checked my vehicle there where no new damages and not another vehicle in site??? My neck now hurts and I'm confused on why my air bags deployed???”

NHTSA complaint #11289781, filed 2019-12, 170,000 miles

“Takata recall - I received a recall letter in july 2016 but have called dealers multiple times and they say there is nothing they can do and GM feels my truck is safe. I have moved twice since the initial contact but still live in the souther high humidity area (moved from new orleans to houston). How do I get my truck fixed???”

NHTSA complaint #11055653, filed 2017-12, 80,000 miles

“Bought the truck in april, 2016 and now have a constant knock from engine. I was told it is probably the lifters. I did research to find many others having issues with lifters on vehicles that have the afm/dod which controls fuel and cylinder use when at steady highway speeds. I travel by highway to and from work. I still owe $17,000 on this truck. It is my only means of transportation.”

NHTSA complaint #10950221, filed 2017-02, 119,000 miles

“I received a recall notice july 2016. The chevy dealership tells me there is still no remedy for this recall. I just received another notice that takata has filed bankruptcy and I need to take care of this immediately but chevy still will not act on it until a remedy is available.”
